This compact Skimmia japonica ‘Rubella’ is a perfect shrub for any shady border. Extremely low maintenance, it produces red berries in winter and fragrant white flowers in early spring from pinky buds. Plus as it’s evergreen it looks good all year round, a very useful addition to any garden. N.B. If you want to see the berries you will need to plant a male and female Skimmia in reasonably close proximity.
